How to use
Organic Castor Oil is a rich carrier oil commonly used in hair care routines and for blending into nourishing body oils.
Scalp massage
Warm a small amount between your palms and massage into the scalp using gentle circular motions. Leave on for 20–60 minutes before washing as part of your hair care routine.
Hair mask blend
Mix castor oil with a lighter carrier oil (such as fractionated coconut or sweet almond) in a 1:2 ratio to make it easier to spread. Apply through mid-lengths and ends, then rinse out during your regular wash.
Targeted ends care
Use a tiny amount on damp or dry hair ends to help smooth and add shine. Avoid the roots if you prefer a lighter finish.

I ordered this Jamaican black castor oil to put on my scalp it was neat and wrapped in plastic when it was delivered, the only problem is the smell is not good and I waited all day for this, but it was worth the wait. I will definitely be ordering this again. If I like what I see in this castor oil
I was having hair tinting especially with my hair edges but after a few week of using this product my edges is finally growing back and my hair is getting back some body so I definitely recommend this oil

Bigger than I thought
A little bit of this product goes a long way; it absorbs well and has a nutty scent. I only use a little because the oil has a grainy residue, but it does not transfer if I use a little on my scalp and hair. My hair feels healthy, and my scalp stays moisturized. I give this product five stars! This is an excellent addition to my hair care routine.

So I just finished reviewing another 8 oz. castor oil product that was twice the price of this one. To me, there really was no difference. Very greasy, thick, and scentless. If that's your type of massage oil, then it's great and it's at a great price. The oil stays greasy on your skin for a good while too, so it's great for photo and video shoots. Any time I do photo and video shoots, I like to oil my legs a little bit, and it's nice to use something that stays greasy for a while and doesn't have a strong scent to it. In my photos, I really lathered up my legs. You don't really notice it in the photo where I'm standing because the light isn't hitting my legs, but in the other photo you can see it really gives my legs a nice shine. You can even mix in a little (silicone or oil-based) highlighter for some more shine.
This oil has a good consistency that blends well with my other oils. I plan on using it for my hair and body.
Brooklyn Botany castor oil is organic and is sourced from India. The quality is better than some of the castor oils I have used recently. This oil is very thick. Castor oil is supposed to be really thick. Brooklyn Botany castor oil is clear because the castor beans have been cold pressed to produce this oil. Cold pressing is supposed to preserve more of the nutrients from the castor bean. Brooklyn Botany's castor oil has a very mild nutty smell that is pleasant. I love castor oil. It is my favorite oil. I don't use it as much as I would like because the smell can be a bit much. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is my favorite castor oil. I stopped using it altogether several years ago because it has a pungent unpleasant smell. Because this oil is not roasted like JBCO, the smell is lighter and less pungent. Yet it has a lot of the same properties as Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I love to put this oil in my hair, hair creams, shampoos and conditioners, and hair lotions. I love to use this oil on my skin, feet and cuticles. I have also used castor oil as a natural laxative. I use castor oil on my face to hydrate my face and to lock in moisture after I have washed my face. This oil doesn't just sit on my hair. It actually moisturizes my hair better than any other oil. I also like to use it on my scalp for its anti-microbial properties. My hair flourishes with this oil. My hair grows faster and I am able to retain more length. My strands are more elastic and I have less hair breakage. This is a great multi-purpose oil that has many different applications. I am so happy to find a products that compares to JBCO with a more pleasant smell. Brooklyn Botany's castor oil delivered. I was able to use it in my hair, and on face and skin and not have to worry about the smell. It worked similarly to JBCO. I was able to use it the same way I had used JBCO. This is a great replacement for me. I am so glad that I do not have to avoid castor oil anymore.
Smells like castor oil, so thats a great sign that its the real deal. Wished it was a little less per ounce, but overall a solid product to add to your collection.

This works wonderfully for my hair growth. There's a lot of it but I will definitely order this again when I run out! I love that is is organic and won't hurt me in any way. It smells great and I've noticed hair growth where it was more scant. I combine this with my shampoo and conditioner to help things along. I've been experimenting with this on my skin as well and it seems to help that too! I haven't done a liver detox yet but intend to. It came well-sealed and well-packaged and I highly recommend it.
