Brooklyn Botany Frankincense Essential Oil Ive used essential oils in diffusers for years but am no expert at discerning quality. If I like the scent and its strong enough its a winner for me. Im not looking for any health benefits; I just enjoy a lightly scented home. This 100 pure, therapeutic grade, boswellia serrata essential oil arrived in a small, branded box that was wrapped in plastic. The amber bottle was sealed, is the preferred color for oils, and is the usual size, (10 ml .33 fl oz), but there is no eye dropper (my preference because I find it easier to control how much I use). I thought the oil dropped a little too quickly when I added it to a water diffuser. The scent to me was pleasantly strong (warm, earthy, spicy, calming) when first smelling the opened bottle directly. This is my first bottle of Frankincense oil, but Ive used blends that contain it so thought I would enjoy the scent. I usually start new oils at 4 drops in 100 ml of water to gauge their strength. At 4 drops this aroma was detectable (with my nose in the mist) but seemed to dissipate in the room, so I wanted to slowly add a few more drops. I ended up adding 3 more at once because they came out so quickly. Ive now used these drops twice and have stuck with 7 drops per 100 ml water. Im enjoying this scent and will probably keep the rest for autumnwinter. Not tested on animals. Not organic. Country of origin: India.
At the current price it's a decent deal for .33oz. I have seen 'cheaper by the ounce' essential oils, but that is when you are purchasing in larger quantities. The scent is great. I compared this to a different brand of frankincense that I own and this one seems stronger, more potent. The bottle comes in a small box which is sealed in plastic. If not in plastic, there would have been a mess. The bottle was sealed, but leaking. It seems like a one off issue since other essential oils that I got of the same brand did not have the same issue.
Pleasant mild relaxing frankincense essential oil. The frankincense essential oil is mild in strength that fills up a five hundred square foot room nicely with ten drops in an oil diffuser running for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Aroma is calming which can be great for meditation, relaxing, and staying focused. The 10mL bottle dispenses drops nicely and precise. Blends well with lavender, orange, grapefruit, sandalwood, cedarwood, neroli, lemon, geranium, rose, ylang ylang or clary sage oils.
This Frankincense has a good clean mild scent. I was expecting it to be a little bit stronger. I use it for Aromatherapy and I added a couple of drops to my hair conditioner and my homemade hair oils. Overall it's a good oil the consistency is good and so is the price.
