I absolutely love the smell of BASIL And this bottle of Basil Essential Oil that I ordered from Brooklyn Botany smells wonderful! Its nice strong the scent actually lasts!! Ive purchased many essential oils from other brands on (like ones that are considered top rated products too) the majority of them only last for a few hours. So this one definitely is a high quality essential oil And the best part is the price! (Side note: It was 9.99 when I ordered mine). You just really cant beat getting a huge 4 ounce bottle of high quality essential oil for under 10 bucks! 5 STARS!

Oil is definitely basil and smells as such. It doesn't appear watered or diluted. Great size for the price. Unlike some essential oils, this one didn't clog my oil diffuser nor did it leave a sticky residue on the surfaces near.

Ordered 12825 and arrived 22825. I don't mind the wait bc this looks like it's a new batch, with expiration date of Feb. 2027, so I appreciate that. This big 4oz. bottle of 100 pure Basil oil smells amazing and I have always loved the smell of basil. This is for external use only, but because this is pure oil, you can use it straight for aromatherapy (as in a diffuser). For other uses, like on skin, they say to dilute this with a carrier oil, plus their listing says "this oil blends well with other (essential) oils like Bergamot, Rose, Geranium, Frankincense, Grapefruit, Vetiver, Lemon, Tangerine, Patchouli, Sweet Orange, Cedarwood, Neroli, Rosemary and Peppermint." I initially ordered this to include a few drops mixed with other oils and ingredients for homemade deodorant, which I will do soon. However, I also have a passive diffuser (lava stone in a wooden base) that I put this oil on with nothing else to see how it works with flies and mosquitoes. A bit of research discloses that basil essential oil is a great natural insect repellent. I'm in for that. I am fond of this brand's products and this one is a 5 star rating.

This is a generous amount of basil essential oil (4 ounces) for a little less than 10. I like to use Basil essential oils for my plants. I use 10 drops of this basil oil and fill it with water in a 4-ounce spray bottle to help boost plant growth and prevent pest from eating up my flowers and veggies. This is a very affordable oil given the number of oils that I go through for my plants. I'm not sure where this essential oil is made but it is distributed to company based in Delaware. I am curious to try other essential oils from this brand. Recommend.

This basil oil smells similar to licorice.

Very potent product. I could smell it right out of package when I opened it without even opening the bottle. So value-wise, you need very little to get a great scent out of this. My wife uses it for candle-making, but it would work well in a diffuser as well. The scent is very authentic, not some chemical reproduction type of thing. So price, quality is all there. If I could give them a .5-star deduction, I would because they're not based in Brooklyn. But other than that, it's great.

I got this basil essential oil to help calm my mind before bedtime. It works really well. It has a very sharp scent and so just a little goes a long way. I dilute it with coconut oil to put it on my skin and it helps to relieve some of my itchy dry skin as well.

My wife and I routinely use aroma therapy oils: in the afternoon while drinking tea, in the shower, in the evening before bed... We really enjoy it. Neither of us had tried basil oil before, even though we both love eating basil so much. This one has been interesting. It has some characteristics that remind me of your typical Genovese aroma, like you might have with a caprese salad, but it also has other notes that are less familiar... a sort of "grassy" or green smell. Regardless, it's a nice aroma, and it's more concentrated than many such aromas are, so even this little 0.33 OZ bottle will last you quite some time.

I've been making goat milk soap for almost a decade, using milk from my herd and all natural ingredients. Never any "scent" blends - always essential oils. We are now ordering directly from Brooklyn Botany and taking advantage of their excellent customer service, top shelf quality, and consistent product. I feel lucky for this relationship! Ive been using it for mental clarity and stress relief, and it honestly helps me feel more focused and calm. A few drops go a long way, and the quality is obvious the moment you open the bottle. This basil essential oil from Brooklyn Botany is a great value for its size. This is a genuine and good quality oil! If you've never used basil oil before and are worried about it smelling like a bottle of pesto, rest assured that this only carries a small hint of that and the overall scent is much more complex - herbal and spicy, with a slight licorice undertone, which are all the characteristics that I would expect from basil oil. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it!

I've been using this in my bath and in an aroma diffuser along with a bit of lemon oil. It's perfect for bath bombs and will be an excellent addition when I make some soap, too. It arrived in a nice dark amber bottle and it's fresh. I'm well pleased with this oil and the seller who dispatched my order request right away.

This is a high quality product. I am reviewing the Brooklyn Botany Basil Essential Oil - Huge 4 Fl Oz - 100 Pure and Natural - Premium Grade with Dropper and I am very pleased to have this lovely oil. It is very authentic in texture, aroma and presentation. The bottle and dropper are thick and top notch. My use for the oil is in a diffuser where I plan to blend it as a base oil to add interest and depth to other oil blends for aromatherapy and enhancing the environment in general. Later I may graduate to medicinal and therapeutic uses for this versatile oil; there are many uses for it from relaxation to anti-inflammatory properties to addressing skin issues. But I'm not a doctor so I'm not recommending that anyone use it on the skin without doing your own due diligence of course. Considering the strength of the oil, the top notch bottle and presentation, and, importantly the very generous size, I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending this versatile oil. This price point is fair in my opinion and I plan to enjoy this oil for a long time to come. Thank you.
