BB Break-Down: Bright - Triple C Vitamin C Serum
BB Break-Down: Bright - Triple C Vitamin C Serum
By: Melanie Peres
Hello Brooklyn Botany Babes!
This month the new Bright Serum has really changed the game. The pink packaging makes it adorable on the shelf, while the serum leaves skin youthful and bright.
So what does it have that makes it so perfect at making skin glow?
Let’s break it down.
Triple C
You can see on the bottle it’s written Triple C. That is the relationship between three very important ingredients. L - Ascorbic Acid does the magic with the help of Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. These are derivative forms of Vitamin C.
Ascorbic Acid. We can just call him Vitamin C. Just like he helps our bodies, he also keeps our skin healthy. A few drops of the serum daily will add the missing C you need.
Witch Hazel
Hamamelis Virginiana Water, better known as Witch Hazel, has many benefits for the skin. Witch Hazel is sometimes used alone to fight acne and alleviate skin of any irritation. A good tip: Apply with a cotton pad to any itch for relief.
Because it calms the skin down, it is also used like a toner when applied directly to the face. But mixed with other ingredients, like in Bright, the benefits are combined with others. Which leads us to the next one:
Oils
There are many oils in the Vitamin C serum. They work alongside “The Triple C Team” to soothe your skin and leave it radiant. Some of these oils are the vanilla planifolia fruit oil which soothes the skin, and the citrus aurantium dulce (orange) peel oil perfumes the serum and has that toning property which makes the skin glow.
Many of the oils included have youthful qualities to leave the skin better than ever.
How could so many powerful ingredients fit into a little pink bottle? Try it yourself.
Laters,
